In line with the Ministry of Health Legislation, SKS Hospital Standards and Efficiency On-Site Evaluation Guide; determining institutional, quality and healthy working targets, evaluating the achievement of the determined targets, continuously improving and developing the effectiveness of health services with ethical principles and evidence-based medical practices, ensuring patient and employee safety, keeping patient and employee contentment, to provide fast and reliable health services in line with scientific data.
HISTORY OF OUR HOSPITAL
Our hospital, which was opened in 1945, is the only hospital in the center of Artvin and is a regional hospital. In 2006, an additional building with 120 beds was built and became funcitonal. With some changing conditions over time, a new additional building was needed and as a result of the initiatives made with the health ministry, a second additional building with a total of 11 floors and 69 beds was built.
Our hospital consists of Palliative Care Center and Home Care Unit. There are 1st, 2nd and 3rd level intensive care units, Coronary Intensive Care Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in our hospital; all of which contains 38 registered ICU beds. We have a total of 170 registered patient beds, together with 132 normal patient beds, 41 of which are single-bed room, 41 are twin-bed room and 3 are 3-bed room.
Our Angio Unit was put into service in 2021. In 2022, our Occupational Therapy unit and traditional and complementary medicine polyclinic were opened. Our hospital serves with 37 outpatient clinics. Eye Angiography and photocoagulation treatment with Argon laser, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computarized Tomography (CT), Mammography, Bone mineral densitometry, Audiometry, EMG, EEG Uroflowmeter, Pulmonary Function Test, Cardiac Stress Test services are offered on a continuous level. Our hospital follows an institutional policy that respects the rights of our people and employees, tries to catch up with international standards by constantly following developments and innovations, and aims to further increase the service quality by increasing patient contentment and providing well-being.
