An intensive care unit is an area equipped with advanced technology where critical patients with impaired vital functions and vital risk are cared for 24 hours a day without interruption and where vital support is provided. In addition to their advanced technological infrastructure, intensive care units have an extremely important place in health service delivery as units where multidisciplinary approaches are intensively applied.
