THE OPENING OF THE OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY UNIT, WHICH IS AVAILABLE IN A FEW HOSPITALS IN TURKEY AND IS THE FIRST IN OUR PROVINCE, WAS REALIZED.
The opening of the unit was opened by our Provincial Director of Health Op. Dr. Gürol KÖROĞLU, Head of Health Services and also Deputy Chief Physician Uzm. Dr. Reyhan GÖK HUSSAIN performed.
In our Pediatric Occupational Therapy unit, our Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Uzm. All children between the ages of 0-10 with neurodevelopmental problems such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, developmental retardation, writing and fine motor skills problems, Down syndrome, various genetic disorders, developmental coordination disorders are evaluated with standardized tests by our Occupational Therapist Merve BAKİ under the supervision of Dr. EmirhanASLAN, and are followed up at regular intervals by giving a home program or are taken to the occupational therapy program with weekly sessions in the unit according to the condition of the child.

- Sensory perception and motor problems
- Inability to participate in activities of daily living
- Failure to exhibit age-appropriate movements and games
- Difficulty calming oneself
- Avoidance of movement or inability to stay still
- Bumping into people and objects, showing a clumsy appearance
- Poor muscle tone
- Weakness in gross and fine motor skills
- Unresponsiveness or overreaction to environmental stimuli
- Avoiding eye contact
- Relationship building, communication and language problems
- Lack of academic skills
